Rubio arrives in Minnesota to big fanfare

Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio received a warm welcome from fans and Minnesota Timberwolves employees on Monday as he arrived at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport. The Timberwolves have waited for two years for the flashy 20-year-old Spaniard to arrive. About 200 people waited for Rubio to get through customs. He entered baggage claim to raucous cheers, smiled sheepishly and signed some autographs. Rubio tweeted that he was heartened by the welcome. He will hold his introductory press conference on Tuesday morning. The Associated Press   |
