Kobe Bryant Wants to Play in London Olympics

Some have suggested that the ongoing NBA lockout might hurt Team USA's chances of recruiting an all-star laden roster for next summer's Olympic games in London. USA Basketball head Jerry Colangelo is here to tell you that's not going to be a problem. Colangelo told NBA.com's David Aldridge, "I haven't even really started reaching out, and I'm feeling calls. They're calling me. They're calling me to say they're playing."

While the official roster won't be set for some time, it is expected to feature both Kobe Bryant - one of the stars of the 2008 gold medal team - and Kevin Durant, who led Team USA to a FIBA World Championship in Turkey last summer. But sources told Aldridge that Miami's big three, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, have yet to decide if they'll participate.

My early roster prediction for the 2012 team does feature Bryant and Durant and all three of the Heatles.
